More than 18 years ago, I left Trinidad with $32 in my pocket. It has been one of my dreams to go back and make an investment in the land that birthed me physically and spiritually. This year, God blessed me to bring 150-plus people to Trinidad from May 25-28 for ministry and mission during TriniFest 2k16!
TriniFest 2k16 featured three powerful worship services that were held at Deliverance Temple Church and Jesus Elam International Church. The lecture by Dr. Celeste Owens and the sermons by myself and Dr. Jamal Bryant focused on the process of moving from dancing with broken emotions and painful memories to finding healing and deliverance not only physically, but also emotionally and psychologically. There are some things that God wants to clean out of us because we can’t take them to the next level!
I personally want to thank everyone who has sowed a seed in support of this important mission work, which is ongoing. Thanks to your support, we were able to distribute nearly 90 backpacks of school supplies to economically disadvantaged children from my native village of Laventille during TriniFest 2k16. But the response was so strong that when we left Trinidad, there were still more than 100 additional children who did not receive backpacks.
Your purchase of TriniFest 2k16 products will help us to provide the remaining backpacks to the kids when I return to Trinidad in August. You can order the TriniFest 2k16 CD and DVD sets online at www.iamdrjazz.org. You also can make a donation online. All contributions are tax deductible.
Thank you for helping us to bring the Gospel to Trinidad and encourage future Daughters and Sons of Thunder! We will be returning for TriniFest every other year, so I invite you to start making plans now to join me in two years for TriniFest 2k18 on May 23-27!
Blessings,
